This page explains what data Livo collects, why, and how you can control it. Livo is a personal media player that plays your own M3U and Xtream Codes playlists and media sources on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Android. The app does not provide IPTV content, channels, or subscriptions to content, and it never sells or shares your playlists with third parties.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
Livo has no user accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or payment details.
- Playlist credentials: IPTV usernames and passwords are stored on your device only (in the iOS Keychain or the Android equivalent) and are masked in logs and crash reports.
- Continue Watching and settings sync: on Apple devices this is stored in your own iCloud account, which we cannot access.
- Purchases: premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details.
2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services
Livo uses the following services. They collect anonymous device and usage data that is not linked to your identity.
- Firebase Analytics: usage statistics such as screens visited, playback events and app settings (for example language, theme and subscription state), plus device model, OS version and approximate region.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and diagnostic data, with an anonymous installation identifier.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: app performance data such as start-up and network timings.
- Firebase Remote Config: fetches app configuration; it uses an anonymous installation identifier.
- Google AdMob (iPhone, iPad and Android; there are no ads on Apple TV and no ads for premium users): ad impressions and clicks, approximate location derived from your IP address, and, only if you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID).
These services process data under their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
3. Data Sent to Livo's Own Servers
Some features talk to our own servers (api.livoplayer.com, qr.livoplayer.com):
- Movie and series information: to show posters, descriptions and cast, the app sends the title of the content you open. Results are cached on your device.
- Secure playback links: some streams use plain, unencrypted HTTP. For these, the app sends the stream address to our server to get a secure playback link.
- QR pairing (Apple TV): when you add a playlist to Apple TV by scanning a QR code, the playlist details you enter on your phone pass through our server only to deliver them to your Apple TV.
We use this data only to provide these features. We do not use it for advertising or analytics, and we do not sell or share it.
4. Your Choices
- Analytics opt-out: turn off Settings > Privacy > Share Anonymous Usage Data to stop sending usage statistics to Firebase Analytics.
- Ad consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): on first launch Livo shows Google's consent form before any ad loads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy > Ad Privacy Choices.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS and iPadOS): Livo asks for permission before AdMob may use your advertising identifier. Livo works the same whether you allow it or not, and you can change this at any time in the system settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings.
5. Purpose of Processing
We use the collected data to understand which features are used, find and fix crashes, keep the app fast, configure the app remotely, and show ads to users who do not have premium.
6. Data Retention
Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for the retention periods set in Firebase and AdMob. Data on your device is deleted when you remove the app.
7. Children
Livo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. IPTV Content
Livo hosts no IPTV content and offers no channels. All content is provided by the user, and the user is fully responsible for the content they add.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
